Six pics is a good number: will display well on mobile devices in either portrait (3x2) or landscape (2x3) orientation.
Or ... reduce the number of pics per slide rule to four (always displayed as 2x2) by photoshopping (cutting/pasting) 2. and 3. into a single shot and 4. and 5. into a single shot.
Note:
Make the aspect ratio 1:1, either 1272^2 or 636^2 to optimize display on mobile devices (the latter would result in far faster load times, and still be large enough to look good when zoomed-in on phones and pads).
Might also be good to try the version of this blogger that has white background and dark grey text.
